Dr. Emily Wang

dr. wangOriginally from Southern California, Dr. Wang is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry with degrees from the University of California, Berkeley and the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. Dr. Wang completed her residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Southern California and the Children's Hospital Los Angeles. She was honored with the University of Southern California's Hugh Kopel Award as Resident of the Year and was elected to the dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon at the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. Dr. Wang has been with our office since August 2004. She spent a few years giving back to her alma mater and teaching at the University of California, San Francisco before parenthood. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, arts & crafts, and spending time with her husband and two children.

Dr. Wang also speaks Mandarin and some Spanish.

Dr. Melanie Perea-Corkish

dr. perea-corkishDr. Perea-Corkish is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry who obtained her dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. She completed her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Dentistry and the University of Illinois Medical Center. Dr. Perea-Corkish earned a Master's of Science Degree in Oral Sciences during her pediatric dental residency. Dr. Perea-Corkish has been with our office since July 2005. She is married to a Physical Therapist and they have two daughters. Dr. Perea-Corkish loves to sing and is learning the art of Hawaiian Dance (Hula). She also does weight training and Pilates.

Dr. Ignatius Nate Gerodias

dr. gerodiasDr. Nate is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. After earning his dental degree at the University of California, Los Angeles, he completed his pediatric dental training at Northwestern University and the Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Nate has been with our office since 2006. He is also a faculty member at the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. Twice a year, Dr. Gerodias leads dental missions in Guatemala and the Philippines. Dr. Nate’s main interests lie in behavior modification of the pediatric patient, caries management, and global health.

Dr. Nate also speaks Tagalog.

Dr. Ana Melissa Lopez

drlopezDr. A. Melissa Lopez graduated from St. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago and went on to earn a BS in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania.  She continued at Penn to earn a DMD from the School of Dental Medicine and a Master of Science in Education from the Graduate School of Education in 2002.  Dr. Lopez then returned to her hometown of Chicago to complete a general practice residency and a pediatric dental specialty residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center and the University of Illinois at Chicago respectively.  Dr. Lopez is board certified in pediatric dentistry by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and also holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health.  She has served organized dentistry and the public through several positions on committees and boards of the Illinois Society of Pediatric Dentists, the Greater Chicago Hispanic Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society and the Illinois State Dental Society; she is also a trained spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, a fellow of the American College of Dentists, and has helped film a pre-natal video for the American Dental Association.   Dr. Lopez moved to San Francisco to join her fiancee and has been working with us since 2012.  Dr. Lopez is also a 200hr Certified Yoga Teacher and besides her love of yoga, she also enjoys reading and cooking.

Dr. Lopez also speaks Spanish.

Dr. Joanne Rahman

dr. rahmanDr. Rahman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry who grew up in San Francisco, California.  She graduated from the University of California, Davis with a degree in Biological Sciences and received her DDS degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. After receiving her dental degree, Doctor Rahman completed her pediatric dental residency at the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry.  Doctor Rahman has been with our office since 2007. When she is not practicing, Dr. Rahman enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants and traveling.

Dr. Rahman also speaks Cantonese.

Dr. Barnali Roy

dr. royDr. Roy is a Board Eligible Pediatric Dentist. She is originally from Southern California and graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry. Dr. Roy obtained both her dental degree and specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Columbia University and the New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Roy has been with our office since September 2012. She is also a faculty member at the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. In her spare time, Dr. Roy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exercising, painting, all things outdoors, and most of all playing with her adorable baby niece.

Dr. Roy also speaks Bengali and Spanish.
